Un vero e proprio monumento vegetale, che in questo modo è stato valorizzato.
Un ulivo, si dice il più antico della Sicilia, la cui storia è strettamente legata a leggende di streghe e di fate, a superstizioni, benefici e malefici, a presenze oscure o luminose che lo hanno sempre protetto e che hanno sempre suscitato un senso di stupore agli occhi della gente per la sua misteriosa bellezza.
Un albero storico e monumentale, che la città di Sciacca sembrava aver dimenticato e fatto cadere nell’’oblio, con tutte le sue leggende.
Salvatore Monte ha coraggiosamente ripreso in mano questa pagina secolare della storia di Sciacca e l’ha fatta rivivere, costruendoci su una rappresentazione teatrale che ha come filo conduttore proprio le storie fantastiche evocate dall’albero e come palcoscenico questo straordinario monumento naturale, con la suggestione notturna della luce lunare e dei colori diversi della luce artificiale dei riflettori.
