La massa di fango riversatasi oggi sulla Via al Lido è stata causata dalla fuoriuscita di acque reflue da uno dei punti della sovrastante condotta, di raccolta delle acque della Perriera, che era stato oggetto di un intervento di sistemazione in un recente passato.
Da quel punto oggetto di riparazione, infatti, non si erano più registrati ultimamente riversamenti abbondanti di acqua e fango, ma evidentemente il notevole quantitativo di acqua piovana odierno ha causato una nuova rottura della condotta, ormai obsoleta e troppo piccola per contenere gli ingenti quantitativi di queste bombe d’acqua.
La situazione quindi, in vista delle precipitazioni della stagione invernale, si prospetta ancor più drammatica di quella denunciata appena l’altro giorno dal Comitato di quartiere con un esposto alle autorità amministrative e alla Procura della Repubblica.
Oggi due auto sono in transito sono rimaste intrappolate dalla massa di fango e sono dovuti intervenire i Vigili del Fuoco per liberarle.
E’ comprensibile come questo problema della Via al Lido e degli scarichi provenienti dal sovrastante quartiere della Perriera non sia di facile soluzione, sia tecnicamente che economicamente in quanto richiede un finanziamento non indifferente.
E’ assolutamente incomprensibile e anche gravissimo invece come una intera classe dirigente locale (e, per chiarire, non mi riferisco solo all’attuale amministrazione) abbia fatto trascorrere inutilmente anni e anni (decenni?) senza far nulla per affrontare il problema.
In tempi in cui il dissesto idrogeologico è argomento di grande attualità, a Sciacca siamo riusciti a fregarcene della Via al Lido non solo per ciò che riguarda il manto stradale (scandaloso) ma anche della sua stessa sicurezza e quindi di quella di chi ci abita, mai prendendo di petto questo pericolo di inondazione e frana che incombe dal terreno sovrastante.
Se qualcosa è stato fatto è sempre stato circondato da un alone di mistero, alla faccia della trasparenza, mai che un amministratore abbia parlato chiaro su ciò che si intendeva realizzare, salvo scoprire l’altro ieri che la Protezione Civile starebbe intervenendo con un finanziamento di 500 mila euro sulla base di un progetto comunale di cui lo stesso assessore al ramo sa poco o nulla, progetto che ha già sollevato tutta una serie di riserve tecniche più o meno fondate da parte del Comitato di quartiere e che sarebbe finanziato con una somma che appare già esigua.
Ma perché i cittadini non hanno il diritto di poter conoscere bene le cose che direttamente li riguardano? Perché il sindaco e l’assessore ai lavori pubblici non convocano il comitato di quartiere e la stampa per mettere nero su bianco la situazione, le cause, le possibili soluzioni, i lavori in corso o preventivati e le relative tempistiche?
