Per tre anni abbiamo assistito alla faticosa avanzata di una città tartaruga, lenta , lentissima, quasi inerte. Ci guardavamo intorno sgomenti, di fronte al panorama sbiadito di una città in letargo. Non ci riconoscevamo più in un paese senza nessuno sprazzo di luce, senza carattere e rassegnato al peggio. Oggi però la gente percepisce di essere entrata in un nuovo ordine di cose. Sente coraggio nell’aria, entusiasmo e determinazione. E a questa svolta reagisce con gioia, con partecipazione massiccia agli eventi, lasciando il divano di casa per riversarsi nelle strade e nelle piazze, affollando bar, ristoranti, pizzerie, spiagge, locali , dovunque, insomma ci sia vita. Ce lo ha dimostrato l’ultimo grande evento di questa stagione estiva, quell’”Azzurro food” che ha visto riversarsi nel centro storico di Sciacca centinaia di persone, pronte a godere di alcune serate di svago e cultura.
“Pari mezzaustu”, intendendo che neppure per Ferragosto si sono viste tante presenze in città. Un pubblico composto da persone di tutte le età , pronte a gustare i piatti (street food e non solo) proposti dal Villaggio del gusto, allestito in Piazza Scandaliato, ma anche quelli proposti da alcuni giovani chef negli show cooking sul palco. Non solo food, comunque. Location nuova di zecca per la manifestazione, il sagrato della Basilica in Piazza Duomo, dove sono stati esposti i gioielli di corallo, creazioni ed orgoglio di alcune aziende del settore di Sciacca, opere d’arte pittorica sempre con riferimento al corallo. Ad accompagnare la mostra, esibizioni musicali, poetiche e funamboliche. L’organizzazione ha affrontato con determinazione gli imprevisti sempre dietro l’angolo con scelte intelligenti che sono state molto apprezzate dal pubblico, che ha affollato la piazza per ridere e applaudire i più popolari cabarettisti siciliani.
Un’impresa titanica, quella affrontata da Futuris, Record Eventi e Pro Loco Sciacca Terme, che hanno coinvolto imprenditori e aziende nel loro progetto, associazioni ambientaliste, e tutto quanto c’è di più vitale e innovativo nel territorio. Giovani ricchi di idee e aperti ad innovazioni, pronti a nuove sfide. Questi Titani ci piacciono. Sanno lottare. E’ quello che vogliamo, in una città che , finalmente uscita dai lacci in cui è rimasta troppo tempo impigliata, sembra riprendere la strada giusta, quella della speranza e del coraggio.
