La città di Sciacca ha vissuto oggi una tappa importante con l’apertura di uno sportello antiviolenza nei locali della parrocchia della Perriera.
Un risultato sicuramente importante per l’amministrazione di Fabio Termine, che in tal modo consente alla città di tornare a disporre di un servizio civico di rilevante importanza e che così consegue anche uno degli obiettivi del manifesto programmatico delle associazioni di volontariato dallo stesso Fabio Termine sottoscritto in periodo elettorale.
Questo sportello nasce da una intesa tra il Comune di Sciacca, la Diocesi di Agrigento e l’organizzazione di volontariato CO.TU.LE.VI. (Contro Tutte Le Violenze) che ha sede a Trapani e che con l’apertura dello sportello a Sciacca ha raggiunto quota 83 sportelli antiviolenza in Sicilia. Questa intesa Comune/Chiesa/Volontariato è stata sancita in un protocollo sottoscritto dal Sindaco, dalla Presidente di CO.TU.LE.VI. e da don Gino Faragone in qualità di parroco della Chiesa Beata Maria Vergine di Loreto, che qui di seguito riportiamo:
La presidente dell’organizzazione trapanese, Palma Camelia Aurora Ranno, nel suo intervento ha evidenziato il ruolo determinante che per il buon esito dell’iniziativa hanno avuto la determinazione della psicologa Federica Scaturro, che dirigerà lo Sportello, e la fattiva disponibilità del sindaco Termine.
Alla cerimonia di inaugurazione ha presenziato, anche con un proprio intervento, il sostituto Procuratore della Repubblica presso il Tribunale di Sciacca, dr. Alberto Galatti, oltre a numerose altri esponenti politici, militari e della società civile.
Già in passato Sciacca aveva avuto una struttura di accoglienza delle segnalazioni di violenza, struttura istituita presso il Tribunsle grazie ad un protocollo di intesa Comune-Tribunale di Sciacca, esperienza sociale successivamente cessata sopratutto per la difficoltà di sostenerla su basi di esclusivo volontariato. Adesso ci si riprova in una sede più neutra e meno istituzionale (la parrocchia), ma nel tempo occorrerà a nostro avviso trovare anche un sostegno economico che consenta di sviluppare al meglio questo fondamentale servizio sociale.
