In questi giorni sono iniziati i lavori di posa delle sculture in terracotta del progetto “La Porta delle Farfalle”, del mecenate della cultura Antonio Presti, che ha visto coinvolti circa 20 tra Istituti e Licei Artistici di tutta la Sicilia. Il progetto, di grande spessore artistico, intende valorizzare il valore della bellezza in un quartiere degradato e periferico di Catania quale quello di Librino.
Ne parliamo in questo articolo proprio perché il nostro Liceo Artistico Bonachia di Sciacca ne è stato uno dei protagonisti e il primo lavoro di montaggio sta avvenendo proprio sul progetto realizzato dalla sezione ceramica e scultura del nostro Liceo.
La progettazione e la realizzazione ha visto diversi insegnanti ed alunni impegnati negli ultimi due anni. A causa della pandemia infatti tutto il progetto ha subito un rallentamento, ma da ieri i lavori di montaggio sono finalmente iniziati, proprio con la scultura del Liceo Artistico di Sciacca dal titolo denominata “Va Pensiero”.
Il prof . Franco Volpe si è recato a Librino, un quartiere di Catania dove si sta effettuando l’opera di montaggio e dove l’opera intera trovera’ collocazione.
Le fotografie ne mostrano diversi momenti e si possono anche vedere le opere del primo grande progetto dal titolo “La Porta della Bellezza”.
L’ Istituto di Sciacca, ancora una volta, è stato partecipe di questa rete di Licei Artistici della Sicilia, che testimonia un importante valore culturale ed artistico che il Liceo riveste nella nostra città. Per questo auspichiamo che all’interno del progetto delle città della ceramica, a cui il nostro Comune di Sciacca sta partecipando, si dia anche risalto alle rete degli istituti d’arte per promuovere, insieme, iniziative di spessore come quella realizzata da Antonio Presti.
