Mi accoglie con il suo accattivante sorriso all’interno di quel piccolo museo che più volte mi sono ripromessa di visitare, senza mai farlo: il Museo del giocattolo. Lui è Alessandro Dulcimascolo, ideatore e proprietario di questo gioiello. Stavolta, la presenza a Sciacca del mio nipotino Vittorio mi ha dato la spinta giusta per visitarlo. Alessandro ci guida in un percorso che segue le direttrici del tempo. Le stanze del Museo hanno dei colori diversi e accolgono oggetti legati al gioco che partono dal 1880 per arrivare ai nostri giorni. Racconta e descrive, con passione e gioia.
Lo seguiamo incantati, mentre i nostri occhi si posano con curiosità e ammirazione sulle bambole, le automobiline di latta, i trenini, i libri di favole di una volta, le cucine, i mobili, le scatole dei giochi da tavolo… Ci uniamo a una comitiva di genitori e bambini che hanno prenotato la visita. Commenti di ammirazione e stupore riempiono quegli spazi dove il Tempo sembra essersi fermato.
I genitori riconoscono i giocattoli che hanno arricchito la loro infanzia e anche quelli che conoscono attraverso i racconti dei loro nonni. I bambini si fermano davanti alle vetrine ad ammirare quei piccoli e grandi oggetti del desiderio; alcuni, quelli più antichi, pieni di mistero e magia.
Il Museo si è sviluppato da un piccolo nucleo di giocattoli antichi di proprietà della sua famiglia e di altri suoi parenti e amici, che erano stati oggetto di una mostra in un circolo cittadino. Dal successo di quel piccolo evento, Alessandro e la moglie accarezzano l’idea di far nascere un piccolo museo in un loro locale che , da magazzino , diventa poco a poco, l’attuale location visitata ogni anno da centinaia di bambini delle scuole di tutta la regione.
Il luogo dei sogni, dove i giocattoli, i giochi prendono vita , grazie a chi li fa tornare a essere oggetti di interesse e di storia. Sono centinaia, oggi, i giocattoli che sono esposti sulle mensole, all’interno di credenze antiche, che popolano ogni spazio del Museo, che , in questi anni, si è notevolmente arricchito di nuovi pezzi, di ogni epoca.
Durante il percorso, Alessandro coinvolge i visitatori con una caccia al tesoro e con tante altre piacevoli sorprese, come la bambola di pezza di Cappuccetto Rosso che a ogni movimento diventa , di volta in volta, la nonna, il lupo e il cacciatore. Insomma, se proprio devo essere sincera, mio nipote Vittorio si è divertito, ma io…di più. Sono tornata bambina, quando giocavo sulla spiaggia con le bacchette colorate e i cerchi di bambu che prendevano il volo sul bagnasciuga; sono tornata ragazza, quando giocavo con la scatola del “Lascia o raddoppia” o il “Musichiere”…
