Il sessantenne le dell’IPIA e ITI “Accursio Miraglia” di Sciacca, unitamente al decennale del suo accorpamento nell’IISS “Don Michele Arena”, è stato fatto oggetto di una solenne manifestazione celebrativa presso l’Aula Magna della sede di Corso Miraglia, plesso storico della scuola intitolata al nostro illustre concittadino ACCURSIO MIRAGLIA, vittima della violenza mafiosa.
Oltre alla partecipazione delle autorità cittadine civili, l’evento ha fatto registrare la presenza di tutti i Dirigenti Scolastici che si sono susseguiti negli anni alla guida di questo istituto, che ne hanno ripercorso le varie tappe, dalla fondazione fino ai nostri giorni.
Per l’istituto oggi diretto dalla Prof.ssa Daniela Rizzuto nella sua più recente veste di istituto comprensivo intitolato ad un altro illustre figlio di Sciacca, Don Michele Arena, è stata anche una occasione di riflessione su come nel tempo si sono evoluti i vari indirizzi di studio, pur restando sempre ancorato alle proprie tradizioni, che conducono verso un l’inserimento lavorativo di successo.
si è registrata anche la partecipazione di ex studenti, che con la testimonianza della loro esperienza hanno rafforzato il senso di appartenenza dei giovani a questa scuola, stimolando, con esempi positivi, l’impegno e la motivazione nel percorso degli studi scolastici.
Durante la cerimonia è stata ricordata la nobile figura di ACCURSIO MIRAGLIA, fondatore della Camera del Lavoro di Sciacca, grazie anche alla presenza del figlio Nico.
