È emersa una richiesta unanime: maggiore attenzione per una zona della città che, nonostante rappresenti la parte antica della nostra Sciacca, attrattiva per molti visitatori e densamente abitata, versa in condizioni di grave abbandono. Si registra infatti mancanza di sicurezza, scarsa pulizia, presenza di topi, carenza di illuminazione pubblica, viabilità precaria, pochi servizi per anziani, perdite idriche, tante buche sul manto stradale, edifici pericolanti ed abbandonati, discariche abusive.
Sarebbero necessari un servizio di videosorveglianza diffusa, spazzamento manuale settimanale e cestini getta carte nelle vie più frequentate anche dai visitatori. Nell’immediato, nuova derattizzazione e diffide ai proprietari di edifici abbandonati.
Il gruppo spontaneo chiede anche una modalità di incontro permanente con l’amministrazione, attraverso cui poter segnalare i disservizi ed avanzare richieste essenziali, per agevolare iniziative di miglioramento della zona anche attraverso la partecipazione attiva dei privati.
