Alle 22 precise, quando l’Atrio Inferiore del Comune di Sciacca è gremito da un pubblico in febbrile attesa,( il pubblico delle grandi occasioni) il pluripremiato maestro Nicola Piovani sale sul palco, così, senza alcuna roboante presentazione e ci conduce in un percorso magico e sognante sulle note delle più famose musiche da film da lui composte per i registi più acclamati, quali Federico Fellini, i fratelli Taviani, Nanni Moretti , Bigas Luna ed altri. E’ stato l’evento di punta di Azzurro Food 2023.
Sullo sfondo dello spettacolo intitolato “Note a margine” , gli affascinanti disegni di Milo Manara e le scene tratte dalle tantissime pellicole girate e mixate sulle note ed i fraseggi di un poeta della musica, come ci è apparso ieri sera il maestro Piovani, un ospite ma anche una persona desiderosa di creare con il pubblico “dal vivo” come più volte da lui sottolineato, una sintonia nella condivisione di esecuzioni musicali eseguite live da lui al pianoforte e da due eccellenti concertisti che lo hanno accompagnato.
Il progetto musicale è una sorta di racconto autobiografico, commissionato a Nicola Piovani dal Festival di Cannes nel 2003 (col titolo “Leçon Concert”) in cui il Maestro condivide con il pubblico esperienze, ricordi ed emozioni di oltre quaranta anni di carriera.
Ogni brano eseguito, come egli stesso ha affermato, è stato una riduzione cameristica della originale versione orchestrale di musiche da film da lui create per rendere ancora più duraturo il ricordo di un film, grazie a scene di vita reale od onirica, temi rivoluzionari o politici e sentimentali che, sono state sottolineate e meglio vissute da noi spettatori grazie alle sue elaborazioni musicali straordinarie. Insieme al maestro, sul palco, il contrabbassista Marco Loddo e la sassofonista Marina Cesari che, con le loro performance, hanno reso le esecuzioni del maestro ancora più emozionanti.
Ovviamente, il clou della serata è stata l’esecuzione del tema del film “La vita è bella” per cui Piovani ha avuto il prestigioso premio Oscar nel 1999, accompagnata sul grande schermo da alcuni scatti tra i più significativi del film di Benigni. Il Maestro sembrava ieri sera aver percepito la grande attenzione e la simpatia che noi come pubblico sappiamo offrire, quando il protagonista dello spettacolo lo merita. Si è divertito a dissertare sulla mitologia greca, sulla vacuità del mezzo televisivo, sul valore della musica, sull’amicizia, sul cinema come veicolo di cultura. Ci ha intrattenuto con aneddoti, piacevoli ricordi di lavoro e momenti delicati di riflessione intimistica e profonda conoscenza della letteratura e dell’animo umano. Insomma, gli piaceva stare con noi.
L’applauso scrosciante e lungo, lunghissimo del fine concerto, lo ha reso felice. Lo abbiamo letto nei suoi occhi.
