Il dovere di noi cronisti sarebbe quello di interessarci di più dei fenomeni positivi, all’interno di questo “strano” mondo giovanile. Ma la cronaca di tutti i giorni, purtroppo, ci travolge con la sua incalzante serie di notizie che riguardano una attualità sempre più votata alla spettacolarizzazione e ai fatti negativi che interessano la nostra società e i nostri lettori. Che ben venga, allora, ogni tanto, la messa a fuoco di un avvenimento bello, che parla al nostro cuore, come quello che vi raccontiamo.
Lui è Alessandro Bentivegna, tredici anni, di Sciacca. Un pomeriggio di agosto, mettendo da parte mare e divertimento si è messo in testa di organizzare, insieme ai suoi amici, un vero e proprio torneo di calcetto, under 14 presso il Centro Sportivo Sicilia Sport. Partono i primi messaggi, attraverso i cellulari, non per andare a mangiare la solita pizza, nè per per girovagare in spiaggia, ma per invitare altri ragazzi a partecipare al torneo. Una vera sfida , per Alessandro, la sua prima volta da “organizzatore”. Una bella impresa, tutta da vivere. Ebbene, in poco tempo si formano le prime squadre e , in men che non si dica, se ne formano addirittura dieci. Forse qualche altro genitore si sarebbe infastidito a questa idea e avrebbe distolto il suo ragazzo con la classica battuta “Ma chi te lo fa fare?” Invece i suoi genitori sono entusiasti del progetto, lo incoraggiano, lo sostengono, lo supportano come possono, coinvolgendo amici e parenti. I pomeriggi estivi, a volte così noiosi , vuoi per il caldo, vuoi per la noia, diventano intensi e febbrili: si deve preparare il regolamento; si devono trovare gli sponsor ;si devono preparare le divise. I telefoni squillano, i messaggi sono tanti perché non si ci può permettere di dimenticare nulla in questa che sembra un’impresa che dei giovani tredicenni non riusciranno a portare a termine.
Invece, ecco arriva la locandina, il sorteggio per gli abbinamenti, il calendario degli incontri, il campo prenotato, le coppe e le medaglie da acquistare. L’euforia e la voglia di riuscire è tanta ma il pubblico…verrà? Sììììì! Eccoli! Gli spalti si riempiono di genitori e amici che sostengono l’una o l’altra squadra. I loro genitori assistono stupiti ammirando lo spirito di squadra e di amicizia che di partita in partita non scoraggia le squadre , (anche quelle che perdono ) perché i loro ragazzi sono lì per divertirsi e far vivere la loro passione per il calcio. Questi ragazzi di soli 12- 13 anni hanno fatto una bella impresa: divertirsi, fare sport, far ritornare tante persone indietro nel tempo, alle estati spensierate dietro un pallone, alle giornate in cui, dopo una sbucciatura al ginocchio, l’amico ti aiuta a rialzarti e ti chiede se tutto va bene.
Nel momento della premiazione dei vincitori, il giovane Alessandro tra l’emozione e un pizzico d’imbarazzo nel dover parlare dinanzi a tanta gente, ha ringraziato tutti e ha premiato porgendo prima un sorriso caloroso poi una stretta di mano e infine la tanto attesa medaglia o coppa. Questo è un momento che si ripeterà perché sono andati via dal campo carichi di entusiasmo e dicendo “ehi, l’anno prossimo, di nuovo mi raccomando !” Questi sono i giovani che ci piacciono: figli di una società sana che ci aiuta a sperare.
