CAMPAGNA A SCIACCA PER IL BENESSERE DEGLI ANIMALI: DOMANI GIORNATA DI MICROCHIPPATURA GRATUITA DEI CANI
“Insieme contro ogni forma di abbandono” e per la salute degli animali. Nuova giornata di microchippatura gratuita dei cani padronali. È una delle iniziative di promozione per il benessere degli animali promossa a Sciacca su iniziativa della Lav (Lega Anti Vivisezione) e con il supporto e il patrocinio dell’Assessorato al Randagismo e ai Diritti degli animali.
È quanto comunica l’assessore Agnese Sinagra.
L’appuntamento è per domani, sabato 21 ottobre, in piazza La Rosa, nel quartiere della Perriera, dalle ore 9 alle ore 12,30.
L’iniziativa è rivolta ai possessori di cani non ancora microchippati di età anche oltre i 6 mesi.
Il microchip, si ricorda, è un obbligo previsto dalla legge regionale 15 del 2022. Ma è anche un gesto d’affetto, di legame, nei confronti del proprio cane perché consente di ritrovarlo facilmente in caso di smarrimento.
Se applicato privatamente ha un costo. Domani, a Sciacca, l’applicazione del dispositivo elettronico sarà gratuita.
L’iniziativa di domani lancia un programma di altre iniziative promosse e organizzate sempre da Lav e Assessorato comunale al Randagismo e ai Diritti degli animali e che hanno come tema portante “Impariamo a convivere con cani e gatti”. Si svolgeranno fino a gennaio 2024, con incontri nella Sala Blasco. Si comincia il 24 ottobre alle ore 17,30, quando sarà affrontato l’argomento “Cane e gatto in condominio e colonie” con gli interventi dell’assessore Agnese Sinagra che fornirà i dati di un anno di attività e dell’avvocato Gabriele Modica che parlerà degli aspetti normativi della detenzione dei cani padronali. Altri incontri saranno il 17 novembre con il medico veterinario Mariagrazia Costa e l’educatrice e istruttrice cinofila Daniela Brunetto; il 15 dicembre con il medico veterinario comportamentista Luisa Li Vecchi; il 19 gennaio 2024 con il medico veterinario Cristian Stabile.
