Stamattina, presso il Circolo di Cultura di Sciacca, è stato presentato un libro d’arte dedicato all’artista Cosimo Barna, nostro concittadino prematuramente scomparso.
L’iniziativa, realizzata dal FLAG Il Sole e l’Azzurro, con la collaborazione del Comune di Sciacca, prevede anche uno spettacolo di musica “acusmatica” che si terrà oggi pomeriggio nella chiesa del Collegio di Sciacca.
L’opera acusmatica del Maestro Accursio Antonio Cortese è intitolata “Per mano degli Empi”, con voci, light art ed oggetti sonori spazializzati. La musica, l’attività di sound designer e la regia del suono sono dello stesso Cortese; le scene ed il disegno delle luci di Salvatore Catanzaro; l’adattamento e la traduzione del libretto in siciliano di Vincenzo Catanzaro. In scena ci saranno: Pippo D’Antoni, Pasquale Bentivegna, Tino Bonaccorso, Filippo Gulino, Silvia Curreri e Annarita Maretta. Inoltre ci saranno le voci di: Serena De Filippi, Sergio Masieri, Fulvio Santangelo, Liliana Abbene, Vito Graffeo e Vincenzo Catanzaro. La regia teatrale è di Salvatore Catanzaro. Le opere in scena sono di Cosimo Barna. Il coordinamento è di Giovanni Di Vita.
Si tratta di una prima esecuzione assoluta. Sono previsti 3 spettacoli ad ingresso libero ma su prenotazione con Eventbrite. Il primo è previsto per le ore 18.00. Lo stesso spettacolo verrà replicato alle 19.30 e alle 21.00. In quella occasione sarà anche presentato un catalogo dedicato a Cosimo Barna.
Nella quarta di copertina del catalogo reso pubblico oggi si legge: “Cosimo Barna è il Pescatore di Moltitudini. Pesci a forma di virgola che fluttuano vorticosi in un mare di colore, acciughe che danzano su superfici in ceramica che ricordano il caldo della Sicilia. L’arte di Cosimo Barna è un’immersione in un universo sospeso tra passato e presente, tradizioni secolari e sogno creativo.”
Stamattina alla conferenza stampa erano presenti: Nando Rapisardi, Presidente del Flag, il Sindaco di Sciacca Fabio Termine, il coordinatore Giovanni Di Vita, il critico d’arte Tanino Bonifacio e i curatori dello spettacolo in cui sono inserite anche alcune opere di Cosimo Barna.
