Un nuovo appuntamento dedicato al centenario della tragedia del Dixmude è fissato per oggi 11 Dicembre alle ore 17:30.
All’interno dell’aula magna dell’IISS “Don Michele Arena” di Sciacca, diretto dalla Dirigente Daniela Rizzuto avrà luogo il convegno dal titolo “Oltre Michele Arena”, promosso dall’Associazione “Sipario4” con la fattiva collaborazione della Associazione culturale “Nova” e “Studio AR” e l’Associazione “Dixmude Di Carlo”.
Il convegno, coordinato dal critico d’arte Anthony Francesco Bentivegna, è aperto a tutti e vanterà la presenza di autorevoli relatori.
L’obiettivo del Convegno “Oltre Michele Arena” é quello di offrire uno spaccato sulle peculiari e ramificate caratteristiche di questo importantissimo personaggio di Sciacca che é stato uno dei principali protagonisti della nostra città nel secolo scorso.
Questa retrospettiva, in seguito ai saluti da parte delle istituzioni e delle autorità, avrà come relatori Vincenzo Mandracchia autore della monografia “Padre Michele Arena di Sciacca. Prima gli altri” che racconterà i passi più importanti della vita del parroco saccense;
Jacqueline Di Carlo autrice del volume “La strana storia del Dixmude” che tratterà del consolidato legame tra Sciacca e la Francia attraverso il fondamentale ruolo di Padre Arena; Francesco Fauci autore del documentario “Il destino del Dixmude” che si soffermerà sulle testimonianze e sui vari racconti che orbitano su Padre Arena; Anthony Francesco Bentivegna che approfondirà l’aspetto legato all’orientamento artistico del sacerdote, il suo essere committente, promotore e ‘difensore’ dei monumenti; Delia Maria Di Carlo che spiegherà gli obiettivi dell’Associazione Culturale “Dixmude-Di Carlo”.
A scandire gli interventi video-testimonianze e letture a cura di Salvatore Monte.
Nel frattempo sono iniziate le fasi di allestimento dello spettacolo “Dixmude 100 – sugli oceani del cielo” che andrà in scena dal 14 al 17 dicembre all’interno del complesso monumento delle Giummare con due turni a sera, il primo alle ore 20:00 ed il secondo alle ore 21:30.
