Un sistema territoriale del benessere termale è tra le indicazioni e proposte contenute nel documento del SIRU (Sistema intercomunale di rango urbano) della Sicilia Occidentale, del quale fa parte anche il Comune di Sciacca, inviato ieri all’Assessorato del Turismo della Regione siciliana (e per conoscenza al Dipartimento Regionale della Programmazione Area 8 – Pianificazione e gestione delle politiche per lo sviluppo urbano e territoriale), documento che contiene la
prima indicazione delle tematiche relative alla programmazione e attuazione degli interventi previsti nel nuovo PO FESR 2021-2027.
Tra le progettualità strategiche di massima da sviluppare nell’ambito turistico viene infatti indicata la creazione di un itinerario turistico che investa sulla valorizzazione delle risorse termali e la promozione dei centri benessere e spa da Sciacca a Castellammare del Golfo, al fine di creare un percorso esperienziale focalizzato sul turismo del relax e del benessere.
Il documento elaborato dal SIRU ha la funzione di fornire un contributo alla stesura del Piano triennale del Turismo della Regione Siciliana, con l’obiettivo di creare sinergia con le strategie deliberate dalle aree urbane e dai SIRU per l’attuazione della programmazione e della politica unitaria di coesione 2021/2027 della Regione Siciliana.
È importante un fatto sicuramente importante che il Termalismo del benessere figuri tra gli obiettivi strategici territoriali, risultato ottenuto grazie all’azione dell’assessore Francesco Dimino e al contributo apportato dal Comitato Civico Patrimonio Termale nella tappa sciacchitana del percorso istruttorio.
