Si è svolto stamattina presso l’Aula Magna del Don Michele Arena, un incontro Educational Interattivo denominato “IL COSTO DELLA BELLEZZA” e dedicato alle classi seconde della scuola secondaria di 1° Grado dell’Istituto Comprensivo Statale Mariano Rossi.
CittadinanzAttiva Sciacca ha infatti aderito alla campagna di sensibilizzazione promossa a livello nazionale che ha come obiettivo di proteggere gli adolescenti dai disagi causati da messaggi dannosi sui social media. Si stima che 1 giovane su 2 sia interessato dal fenomeno perchè gli adolescenti e i ragazzi passano sui canali social una media che va da 2 a 4 ore al giorno, nel 40% dei casi, mentre per il 44% il tempo è illimitato.
Gli alunni sono stati protagonisti di una riflessione aperta e paritaria sui rischi e le opportunità dei social, luoghi virtuali che possono avere conseguenze e ripercussioni sulla vita reale.
Grazie a diverse metafore come la descrizione dell’adolescenza come uno tsunami o la metafora di internet come un oceano, i giovani studenti sono stati parte attiva dell’incontro, facendo a gara ad interagire su un grande tema di attualità che a cascata coinvolge tutta la società.
Il concetto di bellezza è stato sviscerato con la differenziazione tra corpo reale, corpo ideale e corpo virtuale.
L’incontro ha centrato l’obiettivo di dimostrare, tramite video e statistiche, che la bellezza mostrata sui social è irrealisticamente irrealizzabile e mina l’autostima e il benessere fisico e mentali dei più giovani. Quella bellezza è “fake” ed è ottenuta grazie a diversi filtri. Invece il particolare fondamentale che fa di una persona “una bella persona” è l’anima: se non sei bello dentro non lo sarai mai neanche fuori.
L’intera attività e il dibattito sono stati curati dai coordinatori di Rete Scuola di CttadinanzAttiva, Nino Porrello e Filena Rizzuto, e organizzato dalla insegnante referente di Educazione alla Salute e Sostenibilità Ambientale, prof.ssa Domenica Mulè.
Questa prima attività della Rete Scuola di CittadinanzAttiva è stata particolarmente apprezzata e gradita ai ragazzi e alle ragazze, ma anche agli insegnanti presenti, una delle quali ha postato su facebook:
